What format should I use to pitch my idea?
In 30 seconds, you should introduce the company name, the problem you're solving, and your solution. Watch this video as a reference for the type of pitch submissions we’re looking for from every entrepreneur.
When and where does the incubator meet?
We meet weekly on Wednesday evenings from 6p to 8p EST via Zoom and once a month in person.
What’s my expected time commitment?In addition to the 2-hour weekly calls, you’ll have reading assignments, business milestones, and office hours.
What industries are eligible for funding?
We are not industry sector-focused. We are looking to fund local businesses that help residents live better through better options or access to food, financial services, healthcare, education, child care, transportation, etc.
Who are the incubator advisors?
The On Our Block network consists of entrepreneurs and executives in all fields, including, technology, retail, finance, real estate, marketing, and more. We will pull in mentors from fields relevant to the businesses selected.
How is the money disbursed?
The $5,000 grant will be disbursed based on pre-defined milestones completed during 8-week program.
